Students who are planning to attend a 4-year college or university need to take the SAT or ACT for admission. Students planning to attend a 2-year college are encouraged to take the SAT for scholarship application purposes.
Both the SAT and ACT tests are offered on several dates throughout the year — it is important to plan to test in time to receive scores prior to the admission deadlines.
The SATs will be offered at Astoria High School on:
November 7th (sign up by October 1st)
December 5th (sign up by October 30th)
January 23rd (sign up by December 15th)
March 13th (sign up by February 4th)

Paper registrations are also available in the counseling office. Fee waivers are available from a counselor if the test fee presents a financial burden.
It is important to use the proper CEEB code (380028) when registering to assure that scores are sent to AHS to put in the cumulative file.
