Financial Aid can be one of the most confusing parts of attending college.  Here are some resources to help you during this process.

Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible — February 1st is the recommended deadline to submit the FAFSA.  Students are not eligible for financial aid (including student loans and many scholarships) unless they have completed the FAFSA.

All graduating seniors who are planning to attend any college next year should complete the FAFSA, regardless of income.

Complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov.

It is recommended that you use your 2008 tax information to complete the FAFSA.  If there are any major changes in income between 2008 and 2009, it is best to estimate.  When the 2009 taxes are complete, a correction to the FAFSA should be made ASAP to reflect accurate information.

Astoria High School students and their parents can contact Beth @ 503.325.3911 for assistance with the FAFSA.
